Last week my mother-in-law passed away. It's been a blur since then. I think it's strange how we deal with death in America. So many things have to be cancelled and taken care of right away, leaving the family no quiet time to grieve. My husband has been crazy busy with all the necessities, and little time to just sit with the sudden loss of his mom.
It's been a sad, weary week.
I would love to share many tender things about my mother-in-law, but I can't focus. She was a beautiful woman and took me in as a daughter. I will always be grateful for her friendship.
I am taking some time off to process. Thank you for your thoughts and understanding.
So sorry for your loss, Catherine. Thinking of you and your family and sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteI'm sad for you and your family. It is so hard when someone passes away. We are left with a void. Hugs to you.

ReplyDeleteI honour your loss and grief
you are so right when you say we do not grieve well in north american...
we seem to have a hard time with death and try to avoid it...funny that
for now I light a candle for you and your family
