A few weeks ago, I painted Whispers of Fall. Then weeks passed and I went for a spur-of-the-moment haircut. Being in a rush today, I let my hair do it's own thing. I caught a glimpse of it later in the bathroom and thought it looked oddly familiar.
Could I have subconsciously painted how I wanted my hair? Or perhaps the painting inspired the cut? Who knows, but it's sort of...interesting.
Haha! Yes...one of those for sure! Art is SO subconscious. Your hair looks great Catherine!
ReplyDeleteIt is subconscious, isn't it? Makes me a teeny bit nervous about my next project. ;)
DeleteHa! That's so great. Either way, beautiful hair!
ReplyDeleteIt cracked me up when I noticed it. And thanks. :)
DeleteOMGosh
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it
its true
your painting come to life!!!!!!
you know what that means don't you????
YOU GOT THE MAGIC IN YOU!!!!!!!
how cool is that ; )
lol
loven the hair!
love and light
Painting come to life? Bwahaha. I love that. Well, I did paint about a pumpkin spice latte and my daughter ended up buying me one...maybe I DO have the magic in me!! :D
DeleteAdorable! I was the spur of the moment haircut queen for years and years, as in wow, that picture in the magazine is great. What hairdresser is open right this second?
ReplyDeleteOh girl, I STILL am. I always take a picture for them to look at, but the picture doesn't always translate with my hair. Maybe it's the HOPE of a beautiful haircut that keeps us going back. :)
DeleteI think I sometimes anticipate the haircut will somehow give me the face in the picture, as well. :D
DeleteOh my gosh that is so funny! What a coincidence!!!
ReplyDeletePerhaps I should call it an odd-incidence? *cues Twilight Zone theme song*
DeleteThis is so much fun! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Meg! :)
DeleteThis picture is so cute and it really does look like you with your hair short, how funny that you'd already made the picture before having your haircut

Isn't that the weirdest? Thanks so much, Helen! :)
Deleteyour hair looks SO GOOD like that!!!! wish i had the face to pull it off!!
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you, Camille! :D I think you could totally pull it off. :D
DeleteThat's great! I love this! I think it's a subconscious thing : ] You painted it and subconsciously thought it would make a good haircut so when you went to sleep you had a dream about it and your mind worked out that you really want this haircut so when you woke up that's what you decided to do. Yep. That's exactly what happened ; ]
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm so glad you did! Now that I can see your face in this picture with the new hair, I love it! It looks so good!
P.S.--I am a rubber stamp addict and have probably too many stamps haha. I've been seeing these make-your-own stamp ideas everywhere and am always like "I so need to do that!" but then I never do. I don't know what I'd make them of! I can be really un-creative like that (like with drawing. I like drawing but never know what to draw so I just don't at all.) Yours look fantastic though. Nice work!
So that's how it happened. :)
DeleteP.S. You HAVE to try it. I want to do a DIY about it and I'll try to include some ideas of WHAT to do.
LOVE your new look :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jen! :)
DeleteWouldn't that be cool if you had a magic paintbrush like Harold and the Purple Crayon? Either way, your hair does well "doing its own thing." Very cute!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to have that purple crayon! :D
DeleteThat is a cute haircut and cute painting!!! Eeee!
ReplyDeleteHaha, thanks Daniele!
DeleteI love the new do! You are so cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a fun coincidence. I bet your subconscious did have something to do with it! :D
I think it did, Amy. :D
DeleteBeautiful painting! And you are a beautiful lady :)
