I showed you the beginning of this painting in my
vlog a few weeks ago and I wanted you to see the finished product. I'm excited to be starting this new twin series; I'll share more of them as they're completed. It's a of bit tongue-in-cheek silliness. My corny side's come out to play.
Speaking of play, I may be going to see the musical, Seussical tonight. What are your plans this weekend? I hope they involve some sort of silliness.
So glad you showed us this after the tease of the earlier post... I really like the colour of the hair against the background... it really pops...xx
ReplyDeleteThat background green color is a favorite of mine!
DeleteLOVE their hairdos and their hair colour
ReplyDeletethis weekend - helping my older son write a CV hes handed his notice in on the paper run hes had for 4 years
the newspaper was an afternoon paper
it moved to a morning paper 3 months ago and although hes tried to stick at it
it hasnt worked out too well
so instead of get fired hes decided to hand his notice in
I was upset (he however has a much more sensible practical out look and is looking forward to a change) that his boss was blaming him for missed papers I went out with him this morning and I really do think someone is systematically stealing a paper a day on his run
he has least tired
a lot of the paper boys quit when the paper first changed to mornings
and then we need to advertise for a new housemate again
the housemate we have at the moment said a few weeks ago hed be with us for another 3 months and has tonight informed me hes leaving on Thursday :( he was good but hes let me down
sori about the rant - just life at the mo
You've had a lot going on lately! Here's hoping your son gets an even better job and enjoys his freedom in the meantime.
Deletethanks Catherine
DeleteLove the faces. This will be a quiet weekend. Services, lunch with friends, and maybe a movie. I'm hoping to do some house projects and enjoy the air conditioning, too.
ReplyDeleteI love quiet weekends. Yours sounds like a beautiful plan.
DeleteI like the details in the artwork, the eyelashes, etc.
ReplyDeleteFun in the park and on the lake this weekend.
Park and lake both sound fun, Peaches!
DeleteThe wombats are adorable ~ well done ~ wish I was better at using acrylics ~ lovely creations ~~ thanks ^_^ (A Creative Harbor)
ReplyDeleteGuess I should've put a hyphen but it's womb-mates, as in twins, get it? haha Yes, I'm corny. ;)

DeleteCute! Have twin grand kids, but never thought of them as wombmates. Well actually I have wondered what it was like for them being in the womb together, however, that word never came to mind. Cute!
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I went to the same university and roomed together there too. So then we were wombmates and roommates. ;)
DeleteVery cute and fun. Love the eye details!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie! :D

DeleteSo glad your corny side it out- the paintings are such fun! I love your playfulness here!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you said this, Carolyn. Sometimes I worry my corniness is just weird (and may be to some) but I'm thrilled you connected to the playfulness! :D
Deletewombmates-- tee hee hee. love the bright colors you used for the hair and eyes. and i'm envious-- i bet seussical is going to be lots of fun!

DeleteOh Yay, I love this move to a new subject. So many ways to go with it. They are beautiful and exciting, ut mysterious and rioting. Love it. I went to writers group and read a few pages of my book - they suggested going sci fi with which is what I have been wanting to do. . . OMGosh. . . they saw something without my pointing it out. . . Fun. Blessings, Janet PPF
