You may not know this because I don't share my parenting side very often, but being a Mom is huge to me. My kids are older (11 - 17) and they don't enjoy being the center of blog posts. Out of respect, I keep them absent here most of the time. But the truth is, I would love to brag. I would love to tell you about the uniqueness of each of them and how they impact my life. I would love to share tons of photos of them.
Secret: I'm one of THOSE Moms. The kind that when she gets started about her kids, you might as well get a monster cup of coffee because you're going to be here awhile. It's difficult not to prattle on when you have three of the coolest people in the planet to call your own. They're genuine, grateful, heartfelt and passionate--not to mention, hilarious. Ooops, better get that cup! Haha. No, I'm stopping now.
It's just that sometimes I feel like I'm giving only a tiny bit of the story here on the blog without sharing this integral part of my life. So I had to let you know, in case you didn't, that I love being a Mom to my three amazing kids.
Great photo, looks like a good time in the city! I love being a Mom, too, so let's raise those big coffee cups together in a toast to the kids ... Cheers :)
ReplyDeleteIt was! We were trying to take a cheesy touristy photo here with the Statue of Liberty in the background and we were cracking up. *raises coffee mug* Cheers!
DeleteIts the best job in the world Catherine, xx
ReplyDeleteI completely agree!
DeleteLove this fun-life-lovin photo! And actually...even though you don't say much...your momishness (is that a word?...I think not) shows and shines through. You say subtle things like "my daughter took this picture", etc, etc...and for some reason it was obvious to me you are a family girl. I am too, so maybe that's why I sensed it. I don't know. But I know. You know?
ReplyDeleteBig hugs Catherine...you are fun gal! And I'll bet my last buck your kids think that about you too.
Momishness is now a word in my vocabulary. :) And I'm so glad it showed through, that makes me happy. I totally know. Big hugs back, Lisa.
DeleteDefinitely the most challenging job in the world. I have posted about my kids on my blog occasionally but they don't know that. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI agree, Joni, it is. So you're a secret Mom poster...I should've thought of that. ;)
DeleteLove this! :)
ReplyDeleteEver seen people cheesing like this in your photo sessions? ;)
DeleteYou're kids are blessed to call you mom! So happy to be back in blogland so I can catch up on your blog...loved seeing all your fun dress outfits!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're back! Blogland seemed lonely without you.
DeleteHahaha, brag away, we'd love to hear. I'm the same way.
ReplyDeleteSo we could swap stories? Let me get my ginormous coffee mug. ;)
ReplyDeleteHey, great post and awesome blog!! I love it!! Keep up the good work!! You are invited to check out or follow my blog anytime!!! Have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteId say you look like a very blessed mum
ReplyDeleteYou do NOT look old enough to have children of those ages. Sometimes we just have to brag a little about our kids. For example, my son... (just kidding!) The photo looks like it was a very fun time. Hopefully a great memory.
ReplyDeleteYou officially made my day! :) It WAS. And it helped that we were purposely being cheesy.
DeleteThis does not surprise me at all. You seem like a person bursting with love for life and love for your children is a natural part of that! Love it, Catherine!!
