Truth Thursdays: Paint the Van
- I've had the urge to paint our van since seeing the Glittergirl van in Violette's book Journal Bliss. Serious. Big urge. Husband's not saying no...
- I *blush* went to see Breaking Dawn with my sister. OKAY, I SAID it. She made me. Not really. Sort of...but no.
- I also want to see the Hunger Games (yes, I'm an adult).
- As of this moment, I still don't have my Christmas tree up. Don't send Scrooge;I'll do it soon.
- My son's been wishing for snow and I've been de-wishing his wish. The forecast says snow is possible this week. Guess wishing is more powerful than de-wishing.
I can see you starting the trend, painted vans! The one here seriously has that 60s vibe going on ... Fun :)
ReplyDeleteA trend? Me? Love that thought, Joanne!
ReplyDeleteFirst. Would LOVE to paint my mini-van! Hearts, Peace Signs ~ The Works! Husband would object. So would the kids. If I could do it an an afternoon while they're away, I would.
ReplyDeleteSecond. Yes, I read the books. Yes, I loved the movies (well, the first one had to grow on me). Yes, I love the Twilight series! Written for young readers, the first books were most definitely, intended for an audience of tweens. That said, this series began the much desired dialogue, I desperately wanted and hope to continue, with my girl! For that reason (and that reason alone ~ I lie) I am completely Team Edward. I prefer sparkles (even if it is the stereo-type) over dog breath any day.
Third. I am wishing to de-wish your de-wishing. Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow.
Dewishing the wish. That's funny. I'm ready for snow. My plan is to get a tree this weekend and put it up.
ReplyDeleteI bet your van would look AMAZING if you painted it! Ooooo, I can just see it in my head . . . And I want to see Hunger Games, too. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I are going to see Breaking Dawn Friday night. I used to be a big critic of it until I actually watched the movies. Ha! Never say never, I guess. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, please, please paint your van.
ReplyDelete!!!!
reverie.
The world needs more color! Do it! You can always paint it back if it really doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the "pants" comment -- it was SO NICE hearing from you.
While it probably is okay to go pant-less, I did have my underwear on inside out THREE TIMES last term. Yikes?
sooo cool!!!!!!
ReplyDeletemy husband wants to paint one of his old vdub bugs with graffiti...

I would like to paint my van also. I am a big fan of Violette! My husband thinks this is the place to put his foot down. I guess I can't complain, he usually goes along with anything else I jump head first into!!!
