There is nothing better than a snow-filled day full of reading, with family tucked in blankets all around you. Here's a few of my favorite winter family read-alouds:
1. Little Town on the Prairie.
2. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
3. The Hobbit
4. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
5. The Complete Tales and Poems of Winnie-the-Pooh
6. A Little Princess
7. Little Women
What are your favorite family reads?
The Phantom Tollbooth and Hatchet.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE The Hobbit! Can't wait for the movies!!
ReplyDeleteI still need to read Little Women. I have it, just haven't read it! For shame!
I don't have any kids yet, so I don't have anything to add to your list :)
These are all such great books. I really liked Little Women and The Hobbit. Just watched the trailer for The hobbit movie and am so excited for when it comes out next year.
ReplyDelete"The Christmas Barn" by C.L. Davis. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI think "Little Women" is trying to tell me something! I've seen or heard so many references, of late, that I feel it necessary to read. I've loved the movie for years. Time to feed my brain with Louisa May Alcott's written word!
i just bought a copy of marry poppins at the thrift store for $2 yesterday.
ReplyDeleteone of my other fav. is black beauty. i remember reading that when i was a kid!
